velvet touch
New York Fashion Week is underway! Here are some highlights from Alexander Wang's Fall 2010 RTW collection. The line featured tailored, cropped, and velvet looks. In my opinion these looks will be recurring themes during NYC Fashion week and hopefully fall trends. From thigh-high velvet socks to dark and stripped grey suits, the line combined a variety of dark looks which all hinted velvet. However, the few light pastel colors featured in the looks contrasted nicely against the grungy backdrop.
In addition, one of my favorite top models, Natalia Vodianova opened and finished the show.

love angel music baby
I was never able to completely appreciate the creations of AM, however yesterday when I read the news of his death it shocked me. It was surreal idealizing such a talent and rising star that had passed away. In spite of this, i think that every great creator: Van Gogh, Marilyn Munroe, Frida Khalo, only to name a few, however their time on earth is short, their accomplishments are movements which succeed and stand the test of time. AM will be remembered in my opinion as a one of the early greats and the recognition although has been scarce in the past will be ubiquitous .
However, the show must go on...
I will be highlighting some of my favorite shows of NYC fashion week.
L.A.M.B, designed by Gwen Stefani produced its Fall 2010 collection. Here are a few looks that combine and highlight some of my favorite trends.
